I came across this book years ago in a second-hand bookshop, it was put out in 1963 by a school book publisher. the text in the 292 pages is no particular consequence, what interested me were the hundreds of mid-century illustrations, probably more than half in color. The book is a hardback and printed on semi-gloss paper.
The chapters cover every use of illustration, including political cartoons and comics. I bought it as an interesting overview of work from decades ago. Slightly annoying that the author credits where the work was used but doesn't identify any of the artists.
