I recently reviewed an illustrated book about shopping bags (in the March archive) and I doubted there were other titles about them but I found this one from the Japanese Pie Books. Though it was published in 1996 hardly any of the five hundred shown look that dated. Nearly all, of course, are the same basic formulae but someone at the EG Smith Socks company had the bright idea of making their bag sock-shaped. The book is really of interest to designers who create work for the retail industry and it's worth searching around the net to find inexpensive copies.
